So, you’re heading to INBOUND solo? Whether it’s your first time attending or you’re tenth, going at it alone can be a game-changer for your professional journey.
Traveling to San Francisco by yourself is an opportunity to experience INBOUND in a way that’s completely tailored to you—but we get it, flying solo can be a little daunting, so we’re offering some tips and resources to help you connect, learn, and thrive on your own.
Plan your schedule with purpose. Start by downloading the mobile app if you haven’t already and begin curating your must-attend sessions. Search for topics that align with your personal growth, networking, and skills development goals so that you’ll hit the ground running with a clear agenda that you’re excited about.
Join the INBOUND community early — in the mobile app, start searching for new connections and initiate 1:1 conversations to get the conversation going before INBOUND even begins. Also, join the LinkedIn Event and introduce yourself to other attendees. Drop a comment and start forming new connections!
Let your network know you'll be there. We created Limited Edition Canva Templates to let everyone know you'll be in San Fransisco with us this September. Who knows? Maybe you can schedule a meet-up with someone who's already in your network!
Pack strategically and don’t forget the essentials like portable chargers, snacks, and comfortable shoes. Need some packing inspo? Check out How to Pack for INBOUND 2025 According to Your Zodiac Sign for some cosmic guidance on what to bring.
Networking solo can be intimidating, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. Leverage Meetups for organic connections. If you’re attending smaller breakout sessions, use that as an opportunity to chat about common interest topics and takeaways from the session.
Schedule some Braindates (NEW!) — As the newest INBOUND networking experience, Braindates are your matchmakers that help start conversations around topics you care about. Use the mobile app to host your own discussion topic or browse others, and start scheduling those 1:1's and group discussions before you arrive in SF.
Flex your creative muscles at Spark Studios (NEW!) — Search for "Spark Studio" in the agenda. Explore fresh ideas and connect with new faces at these fast-paced sessions designed to take your creativity to new heights. Availability is limited - reserve your spot today!
When lunchtime rolls around, don’t retreat to your own space — take advantage of the food trucks and tents in the open setting at Yerba Buena Gardens, abd sit at a table with other attendees and introduce yourself! Be open to spontaneity and embrace the freedom to wander, explore, and pivot without needing group consensus.
Use social media as a networking tool. Live-post about your favorite sessions and takeaways using event hashtags (#INBOUND25) and engage with speakers and attendees on different channels.
From Meetups to hidden networking gems, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to build relationships that last. Get more of our networking tips here.
Although the swag is always a plus, sponsor booths at INBOUND are so much more than a spot to pick up freebies. Approach them with a strategic mindset—these are prime spots for valuable conversations. Engage with booth staff to learn about the latest tools and technologies that could benefit your work. They’re also a great place to meet other attendees who are exploring the booths. You can search for sponsors in the mobile app ahead of time to see planned activations, giveaways, and other special experiences.
Also, drop into the brand-new Tech Stack Showcase for quick live demos, real-life use cases, and real-time Q&A opportunities with experts. If you love discovering new tools and exploring what's possible without the pressure, this is the place for you.
Throughout INBOUND, there will be plenty of after hours dinners, receptions, and social events that are perfect for meeting new faces and continuing the conversation with people you’ve met throughout each day.
