Whitney Cummings is best known for creating and starring in the NBC series Whitney. She is the executive producer, co-creator and co-writer of the Emmy-nominated CBS comedy series 2 Broke Girls, which aired for six seasons.
Cummings first one-hour standup special, Whitney Cummings: Money Shot, premiered on Comedy Central in 2010 and was nominated for an American Comedy Award. Her second standup special, Whitney Cummings: I Love You, debuted on Comedy Central in 2014. Followed by an HBO special, Whitney Cummings: I’m Your Girlfriend.
2017 was a banner year for Cummings. She made her directorial debut with a film called The Female Brain, a neurology comedy based on the book of the same title by Louann Brizendine. She also published her biographical self-help book I’m Fine...And Other Lies, a funny self-help book with stories about addiction, co-dependency, and trauma that Cummings finds too embarrassing to tell on stage. With accumulated knowledge from therapists, psychotherapists, and psychopaths, Cummings’ book promises to be a mesmerizing read of discovery.
